I know I watch too much TV......

Yep...I totally admit it! Too much TV (I blame TIVO). I also admit that I really enjoy reality shows...and for some unknown reason, right now I am in this weird funk...Discovery Channel is awesome!!! So I thought I would share my new top favorite shows with you! Yay!!!

The craziest show of my new addiction is Survivorman. If you haven't seen this show, or if you have watched one of the other survivor shows (Man v Wild, etc.), then you seriously have to check this out at least once. So this guy, Les (the Survivorman) goes out into the middle of nowhere (the Amazon, the Arizona desert, Canada in the middle of winter....) by himself with no food or and survives for 7 days. He literally is by himself - does all the filming by himself, builds a shelter, catches food (or not on some episodes), and tries to find his way back to 'civilization' by himself!!! It really is cool 'cuz lots of time he uses things that you could have with you in order to help him survive. I love this show 'cuz there is no way that I could ever survive like he does! It's crazy!!!!

So...It Takes a Thief...a great show that is these ex-robbers who are reformed and they go around robbing people's houses. The people give them permission to rob their house and the whole robbery is videotaped. The one guy (John) robs the house and the other guy (Matt) sits with the people and watches the robbery. The newer shows are better 'cuz they just tell the people, "we're gonna rob your house sometime this week" and then the people come home and their hosue has been 'robbed.' It's crazy 'cuz both usually the people go into the robbery thinking something like "no big deal" or "no way can they get into my house" or "my dog will totally protect the house" and then John gets in, robs them blind, and is usually gone from the house under 15 minutes. And it is amazing what people leave in their house - the show the other night, John got away with over $$2 million!!! Anyway, then the people get all their stuff back and the next day the show comes in and does these awesome security updates for the people's house! It's kinda a scary show 'cuz I don't want anyone to break into my house, but I literally cannot get enough of it!!!!!

And lastly...Dirty Jobs. So this guy, Mike, is absolutely out of his mind psycho!!! He travels all over and finds the most disgusting jobs...pig farming, bug breeder, kelp harvester, house mold cleaner....and then he does them!!! And some of the jobs are things that I have never even thought of as jobs...I mean seriously...who knew that there was a guy whose job it was to collect and study owl vomit? Or a buoy cleaner? A slime eel fisher? Seriously...not making this stuff up!!! Anyway...it's not just cool that Mike does it...it is crazy to me that there are people who do this stuff every day as their normal job! And then that these stinky, disgusting people go home to their families....I don't know but it is crazy to me!!!

My theme song

Last semester one of my teacher friends (Gabbi) did a cool assignment with her students...they had to pick a song that would be their theme song. So all these kids had to pick their song(there was more to the assignment, but that's all you need to know!). Even Gabbi picked one. And in searching for her song, we talked about several different songs...which led me to start thinking, "What would my theme song be?" And although there are several possibilites, I keep coming back to this one...

the lunch crew

My job is awesome...seriously...90% of the time I really and truly love my job.

But the one thing that is so amazingly awesome is lunch! I love our lunch gang! The Swigtown Swiggers are so funny! And yeah, I totally admit that we are elitist...not everyone is invited to our Secret Room for lunch! Every day I cannot wait to see what is going to happen and when the bell rings to go back to class...well...it sucks! I wish we had videos of some of the craziness that happens 'cuz I know that most people would not believe the stories...

some reasons why i love lunch:
First -between Gabbi, Becca, and Cooper...some one is always in comedian mood...actually, they usually are all funny so it is like Saturday Night Live + MAD TV + America's Funniest Videos all rolled into one...it's awesome!

Second - we always have stories to tell. Marta tells awesome stories (plus she's known Cooper forever so she tells stories about him...awesome for us...not so awesome for him!)...Becca's stories usually involve vomit...and Cooper likes to just make stories up!

Third - Crazy things happen...Jello fights, people fall out of chairs, things get thrown all the time, random people have keys and just come into our secret room!

I promise to work on getting some pics up...but for now, all you need to know is that I love lunch! Thanks to Becca, Cooper, Gabbi, and Marta for making lunch one of the best parts of my day!!! YAY!

Diet Mountain Dew tastes like.........

It seems that lately tons of people feel the need to fill me in on health facts...seriously...not just one or two people...lots of people! They are telling me all about calories and proteins and giving me advice like "drink diet soda...it's better for you!"

But here is the deal...seriously folks, I'm not dumb. I'm not stupid. I'm not retarded. I know for a fact that soda is not good for me! I know that soda has trillions of calories, sugar, sodium....things that normally should not be ingested....I know that!!! And I freely admit to the fact that I am addicted to caffeine!!! It's a problem...I know!

And before I go any further, let me say - I know people love me and want the best for me....really...(so don't be offended if you read this blog and think I'm talking about you!!! Seriously...I love you too!!!)

So because I know all of this.......it bugs when people say I shouldn't drink soda! People - I know I'm overweight (yep, I said it!). I know that I should stop eating at Taco Bell and I should always have breakfast and I should exercise more.....I know all those things! So when people tell me "drink diet" or "stop at one cookie" or "that bucket of chicken has lots of fat" ......... um.... well, it makes me not only want to punch someone, but it seriously makes me want to eat more!

The point to this rambling.....DIET MOUNTAIN DEW TASTES LIKE CRAP.

Okay...here we go....

So...this is my first actual blog posting. Becca got me going on this....she has an amazing blog and I'm jealous and worried that my blog will not be as good as hers. Let's be honest!

Okay - so Becca and Amber both say I should just talk about whatever I want to talk about...Amber even said that I have lots to say so....

Right now we are watching American Idol. I like this show, I really do. I think people who have talent are amazing and all these people who can really sing - it's awesome! I do feel bad during the first few episodes though 'cuz of the people who really think they can sing and then Paula, Simon, and Randy make fun of them...sometimes I think the people are seriously retarded and just don't know better! I really like the show when it gets further along though...then I get excited! I am even one of those lame people who call and vote!!! That's right...I do! And I'm not afraid to admit it!

Oh...so since I am using Becca's computer and now we are done watching American Idol I think it's time for bed!
